National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)
The National Aptitude Test in Architecture is conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture, which is a Council In Architecture,New Delhi, India. The concept of this test is to choose the best candidates for Architectural studies from the candidates who applied on the basis of their aptitude scores. NATA tests your capability, quantitative thinking, and practical knowledge of creating a successful model on your own.
It is a national-level exam for the purpose of enrollment in architectural undergraduate courses in various colleges across India. The test assesses applicants’ aptitude for a particular field of study in areas such as drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity, and critical thinking, all of which are abilities that may be gained over time and are relevant to architecture. NATA course will help you qualify the test
The Strategy of Examination
- Admission in a 5-year undergraduate course for B.arch in colleges according to the scores achieved.
- These scores are used across India in government, govt. aided/non-aided colleges.
- The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity, and critical thinking ability.
- The total time given for this exam is 3 hours and the total paper contains questions of 200 marks
- It is a one-day exam, conducted in different centers.
Eligibility
- 10+2 passed/appearing with at least 50% marks in physics, chemistry, and maths
- 10+3 passed/appeared in any diploma with at least 50% marks and Maths as a compulsory subject.
- For SC/ST, OBC-NCL, and PwD category, a 5% relaxation in marks is provided in 10+2 level/10+3 diploma level and also in PCM.
