VIBRANT CAMPUS LIFE

LPU is an extensive campus bustling with cultural, educational and sports activities that help each student to achieve an overall growth and development.

Sports Activities : LPU nurtures various teams for participation in Association of Indian Universities (AIU) Championships, All India Inter- university competitions and other national and international competitions.

Sports Complex: LPU has 36+ men/women trained coaches to run the sports club. LPU has one of the largest indoor sports complex (1.5 Lac sq. ft. approx) comprising of 12 Badminton Courts, 6 Squash Courts, Shooting Range, Olympic Size Pool, Warm-Up Pool, Diving Pool, Wrestling & Boxing Arena, State- of-the-Art Gymnasium. Additionally, LPU also has a Stadium, Hockey Ground, Tennis Courts, 9 hole Golf Course, American Football ground etc.

Cultural Activities : LPU nurtures various team from the field of dance, music, fine arts, and literature in National and International Championships and also provides training to its students who are keen in such fields.LPU’s students have enlisted their names at elite National Level TV platforms like Dil Hai Hindustani (Colors TV), Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (Zee TV) etc. Student success stories stand tall as our students have won Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Student Oscar in the field of cinematography, have worked in the movie ‘Dangal’ also. LPU students have been enlisting themselves as the part of Republic Day Parade, Rajpath (New Delhi) on almost every year.

Lovely Professional Institution (LPU) is a private university in Jalandhar, Punjab, that was founded in 2005. It is accredited by numerous national organizations, including UGC DEB, NCTE, COA, PCI, ICAR, BCI, IEI, and ITPI, and is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Outlook ranked the university 13th for a Private MBA in 2021. In 2020, the NIRF ranked it 78th for Private Universities.

LPU has worked with and inked MoUs with a number of leading firms in India and overseas throughout the years to provide industry immersion opportunities for its students. Google, Bosch, Microsoft, DELL EMC, CISCO, Intel, WMware, SmurAgro, and Cadence are just a few of the top companies. It also offers a BTech program in partnership with leading companies like UpGrad, Xebia, CompTIA, NSE Academy, and Safeducate.

Currently, the University’s 45 departments provide about 300 degree and certificate programs. These courses are available in a variety of fields, including engineering, management, science, and the arts, to name a few. LPU also provides a number of online education programs through Lovely Professional University Distance Education, in addition to normal courses (LPUDE). For admission to most of the courses, the University administers the Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST). Candidates who perform well on the LPUNEST may be eligible for scholarships worth up to 60% off their tuition.

When it comes to placements, the University saw approximately 800 organizations participate in the LPU placements 2020. The highest CTC provided (during 2020 placements) was Rs 42 LPA, which was around 50% higher than the previous year. Students have also been offered internships in 2020, with the highest remuneration of Rs 80,000.

Lovely Professional University has an active placement cell that offers placements in a variety of areas such as engineering, management, design, and hotel management. LPU has also developed Placement Enhancement Program (PEP) classes for its students, which provide instruction in aptitude, reasoning, soft skills, and interview skills to help them become industry-ready, as well as free government exam preparation sessions.
