The National Institute of Design (NID) has begun accepting applications for BDes and MDes programmes. Candidates who want to study fashion design at one of the institutes must take and pass the NID admission exam in 2022. The exam is scheduled for January 2, 2022. Candidates must first take the NID DAT prelims in order to be considered for admission. Those who pass the preliminary exam will be invited to take the DAT Main exam.
On October 5, 2022, the NID application forms 2022 were issued. The deadline to submit an online application without incurring a late fee is November 30, 2021. The form can be filed until December 5, 2021, if the late fee is paid. The exam application form correction window will be open from December 6 to 13, 2021. The NID DAT prelims admit card will be announced on December 23, 2021.
Candidates must go to the official website, admissions.nid.edu, to fill out the application form. Candidates must then click the ‘Signup’ button. Following that, candidates must create a new login and fill out a form with personal, educational, communication, and other information.
The NID DAT 2022 exam has a Rs 3000 application fee. Candidates from the reserved category, on the other hand, must pay a charge of Rs 1500. Candidates can pay the cost online using a debit card, credit card, or other payment method.
Only applicants who have completed class 12 are eligible to apply for BDes admission. A bachelor’s degree with a least four-year duration is required for admission to MDes programmes. Candidates in their last year of study are eligible to apply for both courses. Aside from that, candidates must meet the age requirements outlined in the exam pamphlet.
NID’s DAT exam is a pen-and-paper test. Only the English version of the question paper is available. Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kurukshetra, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Thiruvananthapuram, and Vijayawada are among the states where the exam will be held. The dates and information for the NID DAT Main exam 2022 will be released as soon as possible.
NID Ahmedabad is offering 125 BDes seats this year. NID Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Assam, on the other hand, are each offering 75 seats. The MDes course has a total of 347 places available.
